Curried Millet

I cooked cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger in rice bran oil (2 tbsp.) until spices were fragrant, added 1 cup millet and mixed with spices. After cooking the millet and spice mixture for a few minutes, I transferred it to my rice cooker where I added 2 1/2 cups water, salt, and pepper. While the millet was cooking I chopped carrots, green beans, and broccoli. I alternated steaming each vegetable in the steamer basket of my rice cooker until done (except for the broccoli, which I sauteed because I like the flavor better that way).
I also took some of the curried millet and poured some of the lentil soup over the top. It was really quite good.
